ABOUT JOURNAL

 The Journal of Dental College Azamgarh is an international peer-reviewed, Quarterly journal which is an Official Publication Of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University. The mission of  Journal of Dental College Azamgarh  is to provide its readers with up-to-date information relevant to Dental sciences. The journal policy is to publish work deemed by peer reviewers to be a coherent and sound addition to scientific knowledge and to put less emphasis on interest levels, provided that the research constitutes a useful contribution to the field. The Journal publishes original research papers, review articles,Short communication, case studies, reports and technical note in all aspects of Dental  sciences. 

ABOUT PURVANCHAL UNIVERSITY

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (Hindi: वीर बहादुर सिंह पूर्वांचल युनिवेर्सिटी ), formerly Purvanchal University, is in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1987 as a residential-cum-affiliating university. It is named after Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Started with 69 affiliated colleges, the university has widened its spectrum of activities with 470+ affiliated graduate and post-graduate colleges and students enrollment of nearly 500,000 Plus as on ( 2013-14 ) in 12 districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The infrastructure development, achievement of academic excellence, quality assurance in the higher education and socio-economic development of this highly backward and rural region are the priority areas for the university.

The university is engaged in research through MoU with foreign and local universities, organizations and institutions. Many of its departments are identified by UGC as Centres of Excellence. 

ABOUT DENTAL COLLEGE AZAMGARH

Azamgarh Dental College & Hospital,Uttar Pradesh (affiliated to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur,Uttar Pradesh) is functioning under the aegis of All India children Care & Educational Development Society Azamgarh, is one of the premier institutes in the country engaged in quality teaching, research and extension in oral healthcare. Conforming to the Dental Council of India (DCI) regulations, the college is fully equipped with ultra-modern equipments in the dental clinics, pre-clinical and research labs to create appropriate environment for teaching, learning and patient care. BDS course recognized by DCI comprising of 4 year curriculum followed by 1 year compulsory paid rotatory internship & MDS programs in 2 specialties approved by DCI are contemporary, comprehensive and at parity with international curriculum.
